1930: A kind of magic is born (
04/10/1930).
1931: AEL Limassol play their first match against
Epa Larnakas which they win 6-1.
1932: AEL Limassol appoint Greek coach Argiris Gavalas. He was the first 'foreign' figure in Cypriot football.
1934: The Cyprus Football Association is formed. The founding members were AEL Limassol, Trust Nicosia, Olympiakos Nicosia,
Aris Limassol, Apoel Nicosia, Turkish club, Anorthosis Famagusta, and Epa Larnakas.
1938: AEL Limassol thrash Aris Limassol 24-1 and make it to the record books (
20/11/1938).
1939: AEL Limassol beat Apoel Nicosia 3-1 and win the Cyprus Cup for the first time.
1941: The mighty Yellows are crowned League Champions for the first time.
1956: Following a dispute, 29 footballers and the coach leave the 1955-56 Champions AEL Limassol
and join petty Apollon Limassol - a 2nd division team.
1966: The Cyprus Basketball Association is formed with AEL Limassol among its founding members.
1968: AEL Limassol win the League Championship for the 5th time in their history and participate in the Greek First Division League.
1974: AEL Limassol win their first basketball Championship.
1976: The Cyprus Volleyball Association is formed. AEL Limassol participate in the first Championship and win the title. Since then AEL have dominated volleyball in Cyprus.
1977: AEL Limassol become the first Cypriot basketball club to participate in a European competition.
1983: AEL Limassol crash Ethnikos 177-39 and make it to the record books yet again.
1987: The Yellows win the League Cup for the 5th time in their history by beating Apollon Limassol 1-0 thanks to a smashing goal from Pavlos Savva 'The Tank'.
1989: AEL Limassol achieve their first international triumph by beating Austrian side Admira Wacker 1-0 at Tsirion Stadium.
1994: AEL Limassol are relegated to the 2nd division for the first time in their history.
1996: AEL Limassol are relegated to the 2nd division for the first time in their history.
2003: AEL Limassol win the FIBA Regional Challenge Cup in front of
3000 ecstatic fans.
