Queen and Paul Rodgers Tour in 2005

2 of the remaining members of QUEEN, guitarist Brian
May and drummer Roger Taylor have confirmed that the band will
reunite for a tour with former FREE and BAD COMPANY frontman
Paul Rodgers as their lead singer.
In a statement at his official web site, Brianmay.com, the Queen quitarist said, "It really all came about because of the Fender 50th Anniversary gig that I did with Paul Rodgers. We were both so amazed at the chemistry that was going on in All Right Now, that suddenly it seems blindingly obvious that there was something happening here. Paul Rogers will be a guest vocalist and will not be replacing Freddie Mercury."
The concerts are expected to feature both QUEEN and Paul
Rodgers material.
John Deacon, the Queen bassist will not be joining for the tour.

About Paul Rodgers: Paul Rogers is one of rock's most
respected singers and songwriters. With 28 CD's released
boasting mega hits, Paul Rodgers has enjoyed an international career with many awards
and accolades; this platinum selling musician is a force. No
other artist has led three bands to global success "FREE", "BAD
COMPANY" and "THE FIRM" in addition to creating a Grammy nominated
SOLO career.
About Queen: Starting in the early seventies and throughout the eighties, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor plus John Deacon have written hit after hit. From their first number one single, Bohemian Rhapsody, to their stadium anthems, We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions, their music has reigned across the radio airwaves from Great Britain and Europe to the United States and Australia. Queen have reached audiences in South America (where they were the first rock band to embark on a stadium tour) and in Hungary (where on their Magic Tour Queen played to a sell out crowd, while still under the Iron Curtain).
