News and Tickets to the Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have progressed to the 2004 Eastern Conference NBA playoff finals after beating the New Jersey Nets in game 7 in front of 22076 spectators! They will now face the Indiana Pacers that have also qualified. Tickets for the games are very hard to find.

In game 7 vs New Jersey, Richard Hamilton pump-faked Jason Kidd off his feet and drilled a clutch 18-footer with 15.5 seconds remaining, capping a 24-point performance that kept the Pistons' season alive.

Hamilton's shot, Ben Wallace's rebounding and the Pistons refusal to quit added up to an 81-75 victory Sunday night, evening their Eastern Conference semifinal series at three games apiece.

The Detroit Pistons were founded in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The team was named for the Zollner Machine Company, which sponsored the club in the 1940s. The Pistons now play in The Palace of Auburn Hills near Detroit, Michigan, and wear jerseys of red, white, and blue.

Their last NBA title was back in the 1989-90 season when Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan dominated the game.

2004 is the most successful year for the Detroid Pistons in over a decade.
