icons U2 have confirmed concerts in New York in Madison Square Garden in
June 2005. The concert will be held November 21 and 22. U2 Breaking News: The latest addition to the band's itinerary is a pair of additional shows -- November 21 and 22 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Tickets go on sale Monday 21 March 2005, according to promoters.
Seven shows are now planned at Madison Square Garden; five previously announced shows at the venue have already sold out.
Tickets for most of U2's 2005 tour dates have already hit the market, but many others are scheduled to hit the box office very soon.
They cost from $45 up to $320.
TOUTS selling U2 concert tickets on auction websites are being chased off the web this weekend after action by lawyers acting for U2.com.
Legal advisers for the band’s website contacted eBay after thousands of tickets appeared on the auction site a few hours after a special advance sale for fans.
U2 are embarking on a world tour this year on the back of
their multi-million selling album, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.
They have already announced 2 concerts in
London (tickets) at Twickenham Stadium on June 18 and 19 2005. U2 are
also playing a
gig in Ireland at Dublin's Croke Park, which takes place on
June 24, 1 show in Cardiff Millennium Stadium on June 29 2005 and 1 concert in Glasgow Hampden Park (June 21).
U2's last tour dates in America and New York
were in 2001 and tickets were again sold out.
The European leg of the Vertigo 2005 tour current tour will be launched in Brussels King Baudouin Stadium (June 10). U2 will tour around the US
and Canada for almost 9 weeks before heading to Europe
for the second leg of "Vertigo 2005". The Irish rock band will then return to America and Canada in the fall for additional concert dates. |
